When Claude Code or Codex stops to ask, its pane turns amber — and so do its tab, its desk and its host, on every device you have. Answer it and the mark clears everywhere.
Agents report their state with OSC 7501 — blocked, error, working, done, idle — and, when blocked, why: a permission, a question, a login. The keeper reads it off the screen, so nothing goes into an agent’s settings and every program is covered.
The keeper reads what runs in a kept shell even when no device is looking, so a session nobody has open still gets its mark — and its notification.
After a restart, Reopen starts the shell again in its folder and types the command that resumes Claude Code’s or Codex’s conversation at the prompt — claude --resume … — and Return runs it. The side panel’s Info shows the command too.
A desk is a workspace on one machine and folder. Tabs across the top switch desks; split panes side by side or stacked, each with its own tabs.
A dev server’s port opens as a page beside its shell, reached through your SSH connection and exposed to nobody. Add SpectaShell to the agent once (Settings ▸ Agents: an MCP server the keeper runs) and an agent in a kept shell gets tools to open the page, read it as a tree of roles and names, click, type, fill, choose and scroll, run JavaScript, read its console and take screenshots, while you watch; Stop keeps agents off it.
